SUMMARY – Maintenance cleans the office buildings and/or outside areas.  Moves furniture, appliances and/or equipment.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Cleans kitchen, restrooms, and lounge areas with required cleaners and disinfecting solutions.
• Polishes windows, mirrors, and fixtures.
• Cleans walls, windows, window blinds and shades, ceilings, and doors. May work from ladders or scaffolding.
• Replenishes towels, soap, toilet tissue, linen, and other supplies as required.
• Moves furniture, appliances and/or equipment in offices, classrooms, and/or laboratories such as file cabinets, desks, chairs.
• Picks up litter and/or recyclable materials, empties large and small trash containers, removes miscellaneous debris.
• Removes snow and ice from building entrances, sidewalks and other areas as required. Utilizes snow plows, salting machine, shovel, etc.
• Maintains equipment and work areas in clean and orderly condition.
• May be required to be available for 24 hour calls. Performs other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must prioritize job duties and be able to work independently and/or in a team environment.
• One year of housekeeping or custodial work is required.
• Required to stand, push, pull, reach, lift, bend, walk for extended periods of time.
• Heavy lifting required
