SUMMARY
Assists Quality Manager with maintaining and evaluating the continuous quality improvement activities for ISO9001- ISO14001, FSC, Ecovadis, SGP Certifications and OSHA standards. Primary focus is improving quality systems infrastructure and maintaining all regulatory compliance.
 

Responsibilities (willing to mentor):

  • Responsible for ensuring all equipment is maintained/calibrated as required and reported in their appropriate logs.
  • Organizes and maintains files – ISO documents.
  • Lead and promote the Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) process, supporting the Quality Manager and other team members on problem solving in a timely manner, working on CAR & NC process and procedures.
  • Analyze non-conformances and process failures and present summary reports at Monthly Quality Meetings.
  • Assist manufacturing by helping them develop process changes and document through Work Instructions.
  • Participates in the ISO9001 audits and documentation of processes to ensure compliance with the Quality Manual and the ISO9001 standard.
  • Train, coach and supervise Quality Control Inspectors and Department Managers on ISO/OSHA requirements,
  • Coordinates compliance with Federal and Local Environmental and OSHA as well as any other regulations.
  • Plans and coordinates meetings and events, such as quality reviews, OSHA/Environmental committee.
  • Gather and report metrics relevant to our ISO9001- ISO14001, FSC, Ecovadis, SGP Certifications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 

        REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have excellent computer skills including MS Office (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Minimal knowledge of ISO9001 and OSHA is a plus.
  • Must be willing and able to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to learn new equipment and procedures quickly and easily pass on this knowledge to others
  • Manufacturing: 2 years is a plus. 
 

        Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

  • This is an office / Printing plant environment.
  • Applicants must use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required by safety policies.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office / lab to access files cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, occasional sitting, lifting, and climbing.
